ACME’s Alkaline Fuel Cells are a reliable, high quality source of power, offering ease of mobility, modularity and scalability for the telecom industry. Running on pure hydrogen, they are a zero emission power source.

The technology developed by ACME is based on research and development work carried out at facilities near Toronto, Canada, of Group associate MKU Canada Inc. Acme Tele Power Limited has entered into a Technology Transfer Agreement as of September 25, 2007 for manufacturing of these fuel cells.

ACME’s fuel cells are highly efficient with an electrical delivery of greater than 50% efficiency over a range of operating conditions. ACME’s fuel cells are affordable since they do not require platinum catalysts or expensive membranes. The Technology offers a quick start-up and a non-freezing electrolyte that enables operations in sub-zero temperatures.

ACME has a wide range of Alkaline Fuel Cell products from 2.5kW-10kW to suit the distributed power needs of telecom sites.

Key Advantages
High electrochemical conversion efficiency.
Quick start, even in sub-zero temperatures.
Broad range of low-cost electro catalysts (not platinum that PEMs require). Can be built from inexpensive materials – plastics, carbon, base metals and metal oxides, etc.
Simplified heat and water management when compared to other fuel cell technologies.
